Lots of new goodies for you. Firstly, I'm syndicated! This means you'll be able to access this update via XML in an RSS news feed. I have also designed a Web Part that uses the same principle. Download them from the bottom of this page. Confused? more details on the new syndication page.
My News page now uses RSS news feeds to collect articles from a host of sources like Daypop, Slashdot & Salon.
Version 1.1 of the Sharepoint tree control AKA the Macaw SPS joust menu has been released. "Much faster, less bugs, packed with new features" Serge tells me!
I have retired the "Integration" Category. It had only 9 posts in it so they have been reorganised elsewhere. I was interested to rediscover a long post from SharePoint MVP Philip Semanchuk SPSFAQ010124 What are the differences between SharePoint Portal Server and Documentum? Well worth a read.
Finally, I have now added PayPal links to all my pages as another experiment in making the site self-financing. SPSFAQ is 6 months old next week and has gone from 500 visits in it's first week to 2,300 last week. It started with 50 posts and there are now over 500. Access-wise, soon I think the free ride will have to end. I will have to use a subscription model and split the site into free and premium content. Not sure how I'll do this yet. As the site becomes more work, it needs to start to finance itself or it is doomed to be neglected in favour of paid work. Any suggestions welcome!
