Hi everyone, it amazes me to think this is now being emailed to over 500 people and the site gets over 5,000 visitors a week. I'd better watch my spelling!

There's now one week left to register for the SharePoint Spring Academy, there is still plenty of room for more attendees, so do sign up to become "the best of the best" on SharePoint technologies. Signing up before the end of March is also €105 cheaper! Also If you're in the US, sign up for the SharePoint Summit Bill English and I are going on the 31st of May, he's covering the Administration of SharePoint and I'm covering the technical end. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn a huge amount about what can be done with the new version of SPS.

Regarding the Spring Academy, the most common question is "What technical level to I need to be?" I think just an understanding of HTML and some javascript/vbscript/ASP is enough. If you need help finding somewhere to stay, contact me too, I've some good ideas!

I've put this in an SPSFAQ too (SPSFAQ080256) but here are some useful links if you are coming to grips with the new SharePoint version 2 betas.

Here's an article entitled "Leveraging .Net in web parts" by James Edelen
    http://www.msd2d.com/Content/Tip_viewitem.aspx?section=Sharepoint&id=adcfe2a6-5ffc-490a-971a-af56738db274

For more information on Windows SharePoint SharePoint Services go to Michael Greth's www.sharepointfaq.info Mike Walsh's SharePoint Team Services/WSS FAQ.

For moving VBScript web parts to version 2 look at this whitepaper
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnspts/html/sharepoint_movingwebparts.asp

And detailed documentation is provided at
    http://www.microsoft.com/sharepoint/assistance
    and
