Should I go x64 with SharePoint? Joel covers that question here. He says the following:
"Here's my recommendation... If you expect to store more than 5GB go with SQL Server. If you plan to support more than 5000 users I'd seriously recommend the x64. With low usage systems you may not see the ROI, but you may find the cost is minimal. If you're looking for an improvement or greater difference in end user performance on a system that isn't using more than 3GB you won't see it."
He also mentions there is not an ifilter for PDF for x64 yet, so be warned.
Next is NLB and Kerberos. I have a feeling Kerberos is going to grow very big, mainly because it will help bridge the divide between network and internet authentication. And NLB is my best friend because it keeps a farm going even in one server is down, and allows for patching without downtime. Some great tips there about keeping sessions sticky and having a second NIC. Read more here.
Finally, is Global and Multilingual deployments, and doing staged deployments of code and content from authoring to production environments.
All here.
