I was recently at the SharePoint Conference in Berlin, and my main impression was the scale of the thing, 1000s of attendees and 100s of 3rd party vendors exhibiting. SharePoint is in a very healthy state.

Although, after one too many beers on the first night, I was not in a healthy state myself. I don't remember the details of the conversation, but I came away with a good impression of the Web Part skills of Bamboo Solutions from Sweden.

I was also impressed by the web-based, graphical Workflow designer from Nintex. Anything that makes the more powerful tools in SharePoint easier to use gets full marks from me.
